The Brief

DG global were successful bidders as the event agency to manage and deliver the 2019 McDonalds Owner Operator Convention (MCDOOC), hosted in Perth, Australia. A focus was sought from McDonalds on the future direction of the business and a balanced program that provided a greater engagement between suppliers and licensees over the conference duration.

The Outcome

Our entire team was involved in this complex and large project that encapsulated the entire suite of DG Global services over its 15 month journey. From initial conference brand identity development, digital and online web development, financial modelling and program design, the team set about ensuring this high calibre event was executed to a new level of standards for this profiled brand and its 700 owners and suppliers.

Leading the project management on behalf of the organising committee, DG global redesigned the tradeshow experience to create the largest and most innovative experience the event had seen since it inception. Combined with a sophisticated onsite digital engagement experience for delegates and exhibitors, the event was focussed on future technologies and insight; with all content, signage and media delivered via digital means. A carefully curated international speaker program was hosted inside a uniquely designed plenary environment over 2.5 days, whilst a 4 day social and additional activities program across Perth’s prominent venues and tourism experiences was delivered to meet the stakeholders requirements. Completing the program was a custom built bar and lounge environment consisting of multiple sensory experiences, entertainment and luxury beverages over four nights as a dedicated destination for all attendees.

This event was captured by our onsite media and film team throughout the week. The DG Global team engaged with all of Perth’s leading supplier network and selected national providers to deliver this event and meet the objectives and benchmarks set by McDonalds.
